Key Points from today's Budget include;

* A £100 payment for 20 million households in council tax bands A-D in England to help deal with rising energy bills
* Tax free ISA allowance to remain at £20,000
* A new tax free allowance for low income pensioners, to ensure those with income up to the value of the full new State Pension will not pay income tax
* Threshold at which High Street shops start paying business rates in England to be increased from £12,000 to £18,000
* Reforming the administration of self assessment income tax, bringing those affected in line with the majority so they make "smaller, more regular payments"

Setting this up allows you to view submissions and keep an eye on things such as;
Corporation Tax
VAT
PAYE
CIS

Sign in or set up a personal or business tax account, Self Assessment, Corporation Tax, PAYE for employers, VAT and other services.

It's a requirement for UK residents to report and pay capital gains tax (CGT) on disposal of a UK residential property within 60 days. Don't forget that if you sell any residential property other than your main residence, these rules will apply to you.

To report any capital gains you’ll need:
• calculations for each capital gain or loss you report
• details of how much you bought and sold the asset for
• the dates when you took ownership and disposed of the asset
• any other relevant details, such as the costs of disposing of the asset and any tax reliefs you’re entitled to.

You’ll need a Government Gateway user ID and password to set your account up or sign in. If you do not have a user ID, you can create one the first time you sign in.

Nadia has worked in the accounting and finance industry across various sectors and is certified in both Xero and QuickBooks.
