📚 Book Talk! These are the next two books I am excited to read - both of these subjects are at the top of my list of financial priorities right now!

"Tax Planning To and Through Early Retirement" is a much-anticipated title within the "early-retiree" and FI crowd. Written by two friends of mine, Sean Mullaney and Cody Garrett, this is available for purchase now - with an official release date of September 23rd! Reducing our LIFETIME tax burden is the goal - and it is an entirely possible and legal strategy.

"Savvy Estate Planning" has come recommended to me by several people. The estate planning (or lack thereof) lessons I learned as a 36-year old widow have only become more important as I've gotten older and my net worth has grown. This is also an important topic to understand as we face the inevitability of dealing with our family members' estates while simultaneously planning our own strategy.

40 years of stock market history…WAY more GREEN than RED. ⠀⠀

Will 2025 be GREEN or RED? No one knows. If they tell you they know, they are lying. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀
In 40 years, there’s only been 1 period of multiple RED years in a row. And look at the recovery % after RED years. While historical performance is not indicative of future performance, this makes me feel good for my long-term money even if (when) we have another RED year. ⠀
⠀⠀
Returns represented are total S&P 500 returns including dividends. Average is a simple average of all returns divided by the 40-year sample. This is not how money compounds but is just a metric for presentation purposes. ⠀
