📢 Important BC PST Update – Effective October 1, 2026

The Province of British Columbia is expanding PST to certain services that were previously not subject to PST.

If your business provides services that may be affected by these changes, we encourage you to review the information directly on the Province of BC’s website to determine whether you are required to register for PST, collect PST from your customers, and report/remit PST beginning October 1, 2026.

Please don’t wait until October to determine whether these changes apply to your business.

📢 BC Minimum Wage Increase Effective June 1, 2026

The Government of British Columbia has announced that the general minimum wage will increase from **$17.85 to $18.25 per hour** effective June 1, 2026.

💼 Employers should ensure:
✔️ Payroll systems are updated
✔️ Employee wage rates are adjusted accordingly
✔️ Vacation pay, overtime, and statutory holiday calculations reflect the new rate

This annual increase is tied to inflation to help keep wages in pace with the cost of living.

👉 These messages are NOT legitimate.

The CRA will never:
- Send text messages with links asking for personal or financial information
- Ask you to click a link to access your account
- Request payment or sensitive details via SMS

🔒 What to do if you receive this message:
- Do NOT click the link
- Do NOT reply
- Delete the message immediately

If you’re ever unsure, always log in directly through the official CRA website or contact your accountant.
