Apa you can tell by the how the people were looking at me that I spoke ifyamano sana😂
Otherwise I was Honored to attend a public lecture by the Governor of the Bank of Zambia at UNZA. We had an engaging discussion on monetary policy and its impact on our economy. I had the opportunity to ask a thought-provoking question, and I was inspired by his insightful response. Events like this deepen my understanding of economic policy and motivate me to keep learning, analyzing, and contributing to Zambia’s financial and economic development.

Had a great time at the Climate Change event, raising awareness through art and painting, while rocking a pilot look to remind us we’re all responsible for steering the planet toward a sustainable future.
Make sure you include yourself on the list of things you need to take care of this week🤞🏿

Zesco’s Energy Challenges and the Dangerous Impact of Street Light Outages!
Zesco has been doing up to over 10 hours of loadshedding every day because of less hydropower from drought and maintenance problems at the main plants. This power shortage has left many communities in darkness after sunset.
In places like Kamloops, Hansworth, and Kalingalinga, street lights have been off for weeks. This is not just about poor visibility, it means more crime, more accidents, and people don’t feel safe moving around at night.
A lot of people now feel like they have to stay indoors early, which affects their daily lives and community activities. It’s obvious that working street lights are key to our security and peace of mind.
Here’s what we can do now:
• Stay alert and be indoors after dark
Organize neighborhood watch groups
Report any suspicious activity quickly
But we also need the government to:
Fix the power supply and invest in sustainable energy
• Prioritize repairing street lights in all communities, especially the vulnerable ones
Bring in solar powered street lights as a temporary fix.
• Increase security patrols during blackout hours
This crisis affects all of us. Security is a right we must protect. Let’s come together and push for fast and lasting solutions.
