With effect from 1 September 2026, there is a further increase on SARS interest rates regarding Income Tax, Provisional Tax, Dividends Tax and VAT, etc.
Interest and penalties paid to SARS are not deductible expenses for income tax purposes.

We ended July on an insightful and engaging note as team members from across the various departments and divisions of participated in an Ethics CPD Masterclass, facilitated by Kimberleigh Pasterkamp, Director of LeadStrong Business Consulting.
The interactive session fostered meaningful discussions around ethical conduct, sound decision-making, and professional responsibility, reinforcing the critical role that integrity plays in delivering trusted professional services.
The masterclass explored key areas including:
✅ Understanding the Code of Conduct and the ethical principles that guide our profession.
✅ Strengthening ethical decision-making with confidence and accountability.
✅ Navigating ethical dilemmas through practical, real-world case studies.
✅ Reflecting on Stories from the Frontline, shared by Sheldon Delport, which challenged participants to critically examine how ethical decisions are made in practice.
✅ Building awareness of anti-money laundering obligations and the associated risks.
✅ Understanding the influence of social conformity and cultivating an ethical mindset.
