South Africa's VAT to Increase to 15.5% Effective 1 May 2025

COID RETURN OF EARNINGS (ROE) SUBMISSION | TEMPORARY SHUT-DOWN

The Compensation Fund has temporarily shut down its Employer Registration and Employer Assessment modules. This directly affects your COID Return of Earnings (ROE) Submission.

DURATION
During this time, you won’t be able to access or submit ROE-related services through the ROE Online System. Submission will reopen on 1 May 2025 at 08:00.

SERVICES AFFECTED
The following will NOT be available during the shutdown:
• New employer registrations via the ROE system, including registrations through CIPC BizPortal and the Compensation Fund’s back-office processes.
• Declaration of Return of Earnings, online or manually.
• Clearing of flagged employers or requests for audits and revisions of assessments.
• Instalment applications on outstanding balances.

SERVICES THAT ARE AVAILABLE
You can still:
1. Use the CompEasy system for claims processing.
2. Generate a Letter of Good Standing.
3. Make payments using your valid CF Registration Number.

All current Letters of Good Standing with an expiry of 30 April 2025, will be extended to 31 May 2025.
