To ensure smooth processing during the festive season, all medical aid option changes, new business applications, and withdrawal requests must be submitted by Friday, 12 December 2025 at the latest. Due to insurer deadlines and skeleton staffing, it may be difficult to finalize requests before the year-end, should we receive your request later the the 12 of December 2025. We want to ensure that all our clients receive the best possible service without delays.
Please keep in mind that any option changes for 2026 must also be submitted before end of December 2025, as the medical aid companies will not process these changes in early January. Our team at Ginsburg Financial Services is here to help with any questions or concerns you may have.

Not the first time!!! They keep on appointing incompetent curators. Should've closed many years ago:
Sizwe Hosmed placed in provisional curatorship, after solvency plunged.
The medical scheme’s provisional curator has assured members that their benefits continue and brokers to leave members be for now.
A South African high court has affirmed the Council for Medical Schemes (CMS’s) urgent application to place the embattled Sizwe Hosmed Medical Scheme under provisional curatorship, effective 4 September.
This came after the open scheme’s statutory manager found it faced ‘severe financial and operational distress’, with solvency having plunged to 5.6% in June 2025 and 6.62% in July – far below the 25% legally required.
Solvency is a key indicator of a scheme’s financial health, reflecting the strength of its reserves and ability to pay future claims, according to the CMS.
