Today, we want to encourage parents to challenge kids to come up with creative ideas to earn money.

Challenge:
- Goal: Encourage kids to think creatively about how they can earn money.
- Participation: Kids can submit their ideas (to parents) for small businesses, chores, or services they can offer to earn money.
- Prizes: Offer small prizes for the most creative and feasible ideas.

Practical Information for Kids:
- Think Creatively: Encourage kids to think of unique ways to earn money, like making crafts, offering pet-sitting services, or helping neighbors with yard work.
- Plan and Execute: Help them plan out their ideas and support them in executing these small projects.

Activity for Parents:
- Help your kids brainstorm and plan their money-making ideas.
- Challenge and share your kids’ success stories.

Parents, this is a great opportunity to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and creativity in your children.

Our entire East Region came together to celebrate our Midway milestone, and what an incredible day it was!
The team enjoyed a scenic hike to a beautiful waterfall, taking in the stunning surroundings before gathering for a well-deserved team braai. From delicious food and plenty of laughter to great conversations and unforgettable memories, the day was filled with everything that makes the Hereford culture so special.
To top it all off, KZN treated us to the most perfect winter weather. We enjoyed sunny skies, warm temperatures, and not a hint of the winter blues in sight.

As always it was a great privilege to attend the Leadership Conference Awards evening 2026 at The Capital Zimbali, hosted by Liberty / Standard Bank .

The theme of the conference, Celebrating Our Extraordinary Humans, was both inspiring and fitting.

The major highlights was the Gala Awards Evening, where as follows:

Our Corporate Division was recognised as the Top Distribution for 2026. Lead by Shan Nissiotis.

Hereford Group was also honored with the prestigious Top NDP Distribution 2026 award. Lead by Michael Dundulakis This is a true reflection of the strength of our leadership, our advisors, and our national reach.

The Hereford leadership team once again achieved the #1 NDP ranking, and this would not have been possible without the continued support of our valued partners, Liberty and Standard Bank.

A dread disease that can change your life

Many people, not familiar with Multiple Sclerosis (or MS) because it is not as widely publicised as cancers and heart disease, don’t realise that this is a dread disease. To try to raise that awareness, Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Month was created by the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (MSF).

According to a representative, ‘’Multiple Sclerosis is a progressive, degenerative disorder of the central nervous system, including the brain, optic nerve and spinal cord. MS symptoms occur when the connections between the brain and the body’s nerves are damaged.’’

Because Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is considered a dread disease (or critical illness) by most insurance providers, it is commonly listed in ‘Dread disease’ policy documents alongside conditions like cancer, stroke, and Parkinson’s, as it is a chronic, often debilitating and costly illness.

A ‘Dread disease’ policy will pay a handsome lump sum if you are derailed by one of these illnesses, and adding ‘Income Protection’ will cover you if your illness is protracted and you are unable to work for some time.
