When last did your accountant reach out?

We believe in walking alongside you, reaching out before the decision, not after the paperwork. Adding value where it matters, building confidence in every step, and helping you find your balance again.

Someone taught you this.

The recipe that fills your restaurant on a Friday night. The trade your father put in your hands. The shop your mother opened with almost nothing.

Heritage isn’t just history, it’s the heartbeat of your business, built with love, sacrifice, and vision. We honour what was created to be carried forward, and we help keep it alive for the next generation. Happy Heritage Day.

Money that never made it back to you.

• Medical bills you covered yourself
• Donations made to a registered charity
• A desk at home you actually use

None of it shows up on its own. Your assessment only knows what your employer, your bank and your medical scheme reported.

Ten minutes with someone who knows where to look is usually worth it. Want us to check?

Profitable on paper. Short on cash.

Many businesses don’t struggle because they’re unprofitable.

They struggle because money comes in after expenses need to be paid.

Salaries, suppliers, rent, and VAT don’t wait for customers to settle their accounts. When you don’t have visibility of what’s coming in and going out, even a profitable business can run into cash flow pressure.

Worth doing this week:

Look at what cash is expected to come into your account over the next 30 days, and compare it to what needs to be paid out.

We help you build that view, so you can make decisions with confidence.

Every contractor has asked this out loud at some point. Is he a subbie, or is he an employee?

A subbie brings his own tools, sets his own hours, carries his own risk, and works for other people too.

An employee uses your tools, keeps the hours you set, works under your supervision, and works only for you.

Both are fine to have, but only one belongs on the payroll. It is not what the invoice says, it is how the work actually happens.

Not sure about one of your guys? Tell us the arrangement and we will tell you straight.

Onboarding done right is admin avoided later.

Good payroll administration starts on day one. Ensuring employee information is accurate from the outset helps avoid delays, discrepancies, and unnecessary stress when payroll, reconciliations, and tax submissions come around.

Collect it all at the first meeting: certified ID copy, tax number, banking details, contact information, home address and a signed employment contract.

Want the one page form we give our clients? Just ask.

What would you do with your Saturday back?

Off your desk:
• Chasing debtors
• Payroll preparation
• Cash flow planning

Back in your week:
• More time with family
• More time for yourself
• More time to grow

Your time belongs to you. We just make sure it stays that way.

Monday. That is it.

One correction before the weekend: filing the IRP6 is not the same as paying it. A submitted return with no payment behind it still runs interest.

So today, do both. Allow for banking time so the payment reflects on or before Monday 31 August, and keep the proof of payment with your records.

And while you are in there: if you are a salaried taxpayer, your 2026 income tax return is still due by 23 October. Do not leave that one for October either.

Six days to the provisional tax deadline. Send us six things and we will handle the rest:

1. Your figures to 31 July.
2. Expected income for the rest of the year, to end February 2027.
3. Rental income and property expenses.
4. Your last SARS assessment, for the basic amount.
5. PAYE already deducted this year.
6. Anything unusual: an asset sold, a large contract won, a change in circumstances.

That is it. Send it today and we file with room to spare, rather than at 16:00 on the 31st.
