Today, we celebrate far more than a birthday. We celebrate the woman whose vision, courage and determination laid the foundations of what D&R Incorporated is today.

Nearly three decades ago, Sonet started something that would grow to become so much more than a business. Through years of hard work, sacrifice, resilience and an unwavering belief in people, she built a company that has created opportunities, supported livelihoods, developed careers and helped countless South Africans through some of the most difficult financial seasons of their lives.

But perhaps Sonet's greatest legacy isn't simply the company she built.

It's the people she built along the way.

Those who were given an opportunity when they needed one. Those she encouraged to study, grow and believe in themselves. The employees she mentored. The families she supported. The people she helped through difficult seasons often quietly, generously and without expecting recognition in return.

She has always understood that a business is ultimately about people.

Sonet is generous and compassionate, but equally formidable. She leads with strength, expects excellence, finds a solution when everybody else sees a problem, and has an extraordinary ability to keep moving forward regardless of what life or business puts in her path.

Almost 30 years later, the business she created is still standing, still growing, still evolving and now moving proudly into its next generation carrying forward the values, lessons and determination she instilled from the very beginning.

That is a legacy worth celebrating. 💚

What is a PDA… and why use one? 💚

When you’re under debt review, keeping track of multiple payments every month can become another stress you simply don’t need.
A PDA (Payment Distribution Agent) helps make the process simpler.

Instead of paying every credit provider individually, you make one agreed monthly payment to the PDA.

They then distribute the correct amounts to your credit providers according to your debt review repayment information.

That means fewer transactions for you to manage, proper payment records, monthly statements and an easier way to keep track of where your money is going.

You don’t have to use a PDA consumers can pay credit providers directly. But that means making sure every payment is correct, on time and properly recorded each month.

For many people, the small regulated distribution fee is worth the convenience of turning many payments into ONE.

And remember: always verify any unexpected changes to banking details directly with your debt counsellor or PDA before making payment.
