🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: TANNIE ANNEMIE 🔥

Meet Tannie Annemie — Inventum’s queen of FOMO, coffee, cake and knowing exactly what she’s missing out on. 😂☕🍰

She works from her farm office with the BEST view, sends us flowers 🌸❤️ and is therefore obviously the favourite… but don’t let that fool you!

The minute she comes to the office, she has to tell us EVERYTHING we missed while she was away — and then she needs to catch up on all the talking she missed while working from home. 😂

Tannie Annemie also swims in the middle of winter because apparently freezing yourself is the secret to never getting sick. 🥶🏊‍♀️

She takes the dogs for a walk… but first, someone has to drop her off at the starting point. 😂🐶

And don’t be fooled by the farm life — she is actually VERY fancy. She logs her walks on STRAVA, is completely up to date with technology and LOVES a good WhatsApp Status. 📱😂

So if you’re entering the Ugly Mug Challenge, make sure Tannie Annemie understands the social activity… because with her bargain-hunting skills, you might somehow end up with the prettiest mug for the cheapest price. 😂☕

Then there’s padel.

She’s played approximately once and somehow already plays like a professional. 🎾😂

BEWARE. Experience is clearly optional.

And finally, her foster kids range from tiny lambs to little ostriches. 🐑🦤😂

Because apparently normal pets weren’t interesting enough!

🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: SHARNÉ 🔥

Meet Sharné — although apparently, we’ve all been saying her name wrong. 😂 The R is SILENT. Yes, really. All this time, we’ve been pronouncing a letter that isn’t even invited to the party. 😭

Sharné’s study strategy is simple:

Why do it today when you can panic about it tomorrow? 📚😂

Assignments, studying, tasks… Sharné waits until the ABSOLUTE LAST MINUTE and then somehow pulls it together. It’s not procrastination — it’s working well under unnecessary pressure. 😂

And Theresa… THIS is the one. 👀😂

The sweet, innocent-looking DEVIL IN DISGUISE. 😈

She’s the one feeding people spicy food and convincing all the newbies to bring food.

And when Sharné makes curry, she’ll say:

“It’s NOT spicy. Even children can eat it!” 🌶️

🚨 DO NOT BELIEVE HER. 🚨

If Sharné says the curry isn’t spicy, you might as well start making peace with your ancestors. 😂🔥

Then there’s Sharné’s car…

The Bumpy Ride. 🚗😭

One day: no rear-view mirror.

Next day: no side mirror.

And she ALWAYS leaves her car door unlocked/open — because apparently she doesn’t want thieves to feel like they have to work too hard. 😂

At this point, Sharné isn’t protecting her car…

She’s offering it on a silver platter. 😭😂

We don’t ask, “What happened to your car?”

We ask:

“So… what’s missing today?” 😂

Sharné also LOVES a good gossip story. ☕👀

If there’s tea, she wants the whole kettle.

And if there’s a party?

COUNT HER IN. 🎉😂

Her filter also occasionally disappears.

Not broken.

Not damaged.

Just… temporarily unavailable. 😂

But somehow, between the gossip, parties, spicy curry, missing car parts and last-minute everything, Sharné still manages to keep us entertained.

Sharné: Last-minute queen, gossip collector, party starter, spicy-food criminal, filter-on-leave specialist and proud driver of whatever is left of her car. 😂🔥

🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: SUNE 🔥

Meet Sune — Inventum’s newest team member, fluent in English AND Afrikaans, and quite possibly the best English speaker in the office. 🇬🇧😂

She is also VERY, VERY, VERY quiet. 🤫 We hardly ever hear a peep from her. Honestly, we’re not sure if she works here or is just quietly observing all of us. 👀😂

She calls Rampie “Oom Rampie” — which somehow makes him sound 30 years older than he actually is. 😂

Sune is also apparently a hairdresser, because she keeps colouring her own hair. 💇‍♀️🎨 We’re just waiting to see what colour comes next! 😂

Ask Sune for help and suddenly…

SHE COMES ALIVE! 😂

She gets SO excited when someone needs her help and will happily help anyone, anytime. ❤️

She’s also still trying to put the Inventum puzzle together 🧩 — and just when she thinks she finally has it figured out, someone adds ANOTHER puzzle piece. 😂

And apparently Sune is also trying to win the Lotto without actually playing it. 🎰😂 We admire the confidence!

She does get scared quite easily though… 👻😂 So if you ever need entertainment, a sudden noise will do the trick.

And then there’s her favourite activity:

EATING. 😂🍴

Sune is ALWAYS eating. At this point, we’re not sure if she has a desk job or a full-time snack subscription.

Sune: Quietest person in the office, best English speaker, Oom Rampie’s biggest fan, part-time hairdresser, puzzle solver, Lotto hopeful, full-time helper and professional snack enthusiast. 😂🔥

🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: STOFFEL 🔥

Meet Stoffel — Inventum’s IT boffin, SAIPA clerk, programme writer, part-time detective and full-time sarcasm specialist. 😂

Stoffel’s favourite sweets are Astros 🍫… but he buys Smarties because they’re cheaper. Because apparently even his sweet tooth has a budget. 😂

DON’T GET ON STOFFEL’S BAD SIDE. He has a memory like a steel trap — he’ll remember exactly what you did, when you did it and probably where you were standing. 😭😂

“This person started working here on THIS date.”

“No, that happened on THAT date.”

Stoffel remembers EVERYTHING.

Except apparently the people he went to school with. 😂
How does that even work?!

He is also always on Henko’s case about where he is.

Henko disappears for five minutes and Stoffel is already creating a:

🚨 MISSING PERSON POSTER 🚨
LAST SEEN: Somewhere he definitely wasn’t supposed to be. 😂

Stoffel speaks sarcasm fluently, so if you’re not sure whether he’s being serious…

He probably isn’t. 😂

And then there’s Stoffel and AI — they apparently enjoy each other’s company in the evenings. 🤖😂 He also loves writing new programmes to try and make the work easier.

The goal: LESS WORK.

The reality: more programmes, more ideas and somehow… still the same amount of work. 😂

But underneath all the sarcasm, detective work and historical record-keeping, Stoffel is always there to help — even if it means he ends up with the short end of the stick. ❤️

And after spending so much time at Inventum…

We’re pretty sure Stoffel isn’t just an employee anymore.

He’s officially part of the furniture. 🪑😂

Stoffel: IT boffin, programme writer, historian, Henko tracker, sarcasm champion, AI’s evening companion and Inventum’s official furniture. 🔥😂

🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: THERESA 🔥

Meet Theresa.

She’s sweet, chilled and easy to get along with… BUT DON’T GET ON HER BAD SIDE. 😭😂

Want to gossip with Theresa? “NO.” 😂 She refuses to participate in workplace gossip… although we’re pretty sure she hears everything anyway. 👀

She also has one very important daily responsibility: making Rampie and Oom Kobus coffee and tea. Unfortunately… she always forgets. ☕😂

Theresa NEVER takes a break — she works so hard that even her lunch break has probably resigned. 😂 No wonder Rampie and Oom Kobus are still waiting for their coffee and tea!

And whatever you do… DON’T TAKE A PHOTO OF THERESA! 📸😂 She hates photos so much, she probably considers the camera her biggest enemy. The second someone says, “Smile!” — she’s gone. 🏃‍♀️💨

Then there’s her Smart Car 🚗 — probably the perfect vehicle for someone who is apparently planning to spend R1 MILLION on tattoos for her family tree. 🌳😂

And let’s not forget how gullible she is…

A stranger offers her food?

Theresa: “Sure!” 😭

Five minutes later she’s eating something so hot she’s probably meeting ancestors who aren’t even on the tattoo yet. 🌶️🔥😂

But jokes aside, Theresa is a hard worker, family woman and genuinely easy-going person — just don’t forget the coffee, don’t take her photo, don’t offer her suspicious food and definitely don’t get on her bad side. 😂🔥

Theresa: Hard worker, family woman, Smart Car driver, coffee forgetter, photo dodger and professional food-trustee. 😂

🔥 INVENTUM ROAST CHALLENGE: HANCHEN 🔥

Meet Hanchen — Inventum’s very own Superwoman. 🦸‍♀️😂

One minute she’s pregnant… the next she has a baby! And somehow she makes pregnancy, motherhood, work and life look completely effortless. 😂

She manages the Visser household with 3 children, chickens, bunnies and 2 dogs — plus approximately 800 other things — and still somehow has time for everything else!

Hanchen also LOVES online shopping. 🛍️ Especially Shein.

Her ordering strategy is simple:

“I need it next week.”
Orders it three days before she needs it. 😂

Every Shein order is basically a gamble. Will it arrive on time? Will it arrive at all? Who knows! 🎰😂

And when it comes to birthdays, Hanchen does NOT mess around. She gives the BEST gifts, bakes the cake herself and throws the most amazing birthday parties.

Seriously… WHERE DOES SHE GET THE TIME?! 🎂🎉

She also doesn’t just eat food.

She analyses it.

Every bite is carefully considered, appreciated and savourrrrrred. 😂

And holidays? Hanchen doesn’t wait until she gets home to plan the next one.

She plans the next vacation WHILE SHE’S STILL ON VACATION. ✈️😂

And then there’s the famous:

“I’m working from home.”

Sure, Hanchen.

We all know “home” means:

📍 Kruger National Park
📍 Mossel Bay
📍 George
📍 Somewhere else entirely…

At this point, “work from home” has become “work from wherever Hanchen happens to be and where there is wi-fi.” 😂

But honestly, Hanchen somehow manages to juggle work, motherhood, family, animals, holidays, online shopping, birthday parties and 800 other things while making it all look ridiculously easy.

Hanchen: Superwoman, professional multitasker, online shopping gambler, birthday-party extraordinaire and CEO of “I’ll just work from here.” 😂🔥
