Growth does not always come from being the loudest voice in the room. Sometimes it comes from consistency, resilience, and a willingness to keep showing up and learning.
In this short video, Miyanke Ferreira reflects on her journey from trainee to Audit Senior at our firm.
Influenced by the work ethic and resilience she saw growing up, she speaks about choosing the CA(SA) path, navigating the transition from trainee to senior, and gaining exposure across both international and local audit teams.
Her perspective reflects the mindset we value at Moore Johannesburg: a strong work ethic, openness to feedback, and the ability to navigate pressure with humility and resilience. When this attitude is combined with the support of strong teams, it creates the foundation for continuous development and progression.

Last Friday, we hosted our scholarship students and proudly welcomed our newest intake for the year. These are exceptional young individuals who have consistently excelled academically and demonstrated strong leadership potential.
It was great to spend time with each of them and learn more about their aspirations as they embark on their tertiary education. While the road ahead will be more demanding, these students represent the next generation of auditors and accountants. We have no doubt that they will rise to the challenge!
At Moore Johannesburg, we are intentional about nurturing young talent. By giving our trainees real responsibility and the autonomy to contribute meaningfully, many have progressed into managerial and director-level roles within our firm.
The afternoon also included conversations with our Managing Partner, Olivier Barbeau, as well as two of our rising stars, Simone Jeffery and Zack van Zyl, who shared their perspectives on what it takes to build a successful career in our profession.
