Ms Philisiwe Mthethwa - CEO of NEF (National Empowerment Fund)
Ms Mthethwa holds an MBA Corporate Finance from the University of Sheffield, and an MSc Economics (thesis not defended) from the University of Paris 2. She was appointed Chief Executive Officer in July 2005, bringing a diverse knowledge of banking, capital markets and international investment in South Africa. Her experiences encompass both private and public sector activities and provides the NEF with an unparallelled understanding of the environment in which the organisation operates.

Mr Alton Solomons - CEO, Sanlam Private Equity (SPE)
Mr Solomons is a qualified Charted Accountant with a post graduate diploma in Auditing from UNISA. He qualified as a Chartered Financial Analyst in June 2007.
Completed his articles with PriceWaterHouseCoopers in 2001. He then Joined Shoprite Checkers where he was responsible for financial reporting on and monitoring of a number of African Countries. In March 2002 he joined the Industrial Development Corporation where he worked in the Techno Industries Business Unit.

Ms Fagmeedah Petersen-Lurie - Chief Investment Officer, Eskom Pension and Provident Fund
Ms Petersen-Lurie heads the largest corporate pension fund in South Africa. Regulated by the Financial Services Board. She is an actuary by prefession, having been one of the first black actuaries to qualify in South Africa, besides having been one of the youngest actuaries in South Africa ever.
