Today, Accountancy@UJ had the privilege of welcoming the Hands of Harmony Choir from the Trans-Oranje School for the Deaf as part of our Mandela Day celebrations hosted by the Department of Accountancy.
Thank you for your inspiring performance and meaningful engagement with our staff and students. Your talent, passion, and dedication reminded us of the importance of inclusion, understanding, and celebrating diversity.
Together, we continue to raise awareness of deaf communities and advance SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities.

Our B Com Honours students showcased exceptional innovation during this year’s Dragons’ Den assignment, presenting creative and well-developed business ideas while demonstrating an outstanding understanding of accounting and its vital role in entrepreneurial success.
Their presentations highlighted the powerful intersection of accounting and entrepreneurship, proving that great business ideas are built on both innovation and sound financial thinking.
Congratulations to all our prize winners and well done to every student who participated - you should be incredibly proud of your achievement!
