Relationships aren’t Easy

It is difficult to be with someone in life.
And it is difficult not being with someone

Alone you just have to struggle for yourself. You don’t have to think of the other person but when you are with someone they can help you through the struggles, but then you also have to share with their struggles.

The saying goes that when you are with someone you half your struggles because you share them with the other person, but that’s not entirely true. You may half your struggles but you take on half of their struggles too. But at least then you have someone who you can share the worries with together. Although in this world, like it’s going lately, we are all struggling so much to survive that we land up fighting each other over our worries instead of sharing the load.

One consoling mantra that I give myself is that:
“The Universe doesn’t give you what you Want, It gives you what you Need.”

And on many levels I can see that with my partner and I.
For instance, I really Need to Learn Patience.
As funny as it comes across it is entirely true, but patience isn’t the only thing I learn with him. He also forces me to live in the real world, as much as I would like to escape it.
