I believe that there are companies that convince people to cancel their endowment policies to purchase a debenture.
Please, please before you do that, send me a message, and I will share my thoughts with you.
Do you remember what happened with the property syndications? Those were also debentures.

๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜˜ ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ฃ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฆ…

Would you sacrifice an endowment for a debenture?
Itโ€™s a question worth asking before chasing a higher return.
An endowment may seem boring. A debenture may look far more attractive when the projected return is higher.
But the real question is not:
โ€œWhich one pays more?โ€
It is:
โ€œWhat am I giving up to potentially earn that extra return?โ€
Before replacing an established investment with a higher-risk alternative, you need to understand the capital risk, liquidity, guarantees, underlying assets, term, counterparty risk, tax implications, and the probability of achieving the projected return.
A higher projected return does not automatically make it a better investment.
Sometimes the conservative investment is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
And sometimes it isn't enough.
That is why I believe investment decisions should start with a financial roadmap โ€” not a product.
First, determine what you actually need your money to achieve.
Then determine whether the additional risk is justified.
A real-life example
I have just completed a comprehensive analysis for a client who was very close to replacing an existing endowment with a debenture, believing they would be significantly better off.
The numbers told a very different story.
I found the analysis interesting enough that I decided to share the lessons from it.
If you would like me to send you the case study, comment โ€œCASE STUDYโ€ and let me have your best email address and cellphone number via DM.
Sometimes the most valuable investment decision you can make is simply understanding what you already own before you replace it. ๐Ÿ˜
