Less than a month left.
23 October 2026 is the filing deadline for non-provisional taxpayers, individuals whose income comes mainly from a salary, with tax already deducted by an employer.
Miss it, and SARS can charge a penalty of R250 to R16,000 per month, depending on your taxable income and it can run for up to 35 months while the return stays outstanding.
If you haven't reviewed your return yet, including your auto-assessment if you received one, now is the time.
