Accounting, taxation and company statutory solutions Finbox was founded by Ismail Rihaan Mahomed in 2008. Both are studying for their degrees in their fields.

The firm started as an accounting and audit practice and soon expanded to included other disciplines such as forensic audits and consultancy and after Colette de Beer joined the firm in 2010 included company secretarial services.
