In business, a name is everything! It is often the first thing a client encounters in relation to your business and generally the one thing that they link to a good customer experience, your product and your unique business offerings.

With registering a trademark, your unique name, slogan or logo will be protected as yours only and you will have a right to prohibit anyone else from using it in their business for 10 years where after you can opt to renew the mark every 10 years to prohibit anyone else from applying for registration of it.

The laws regulating trademarks can be complex and there are certain extensive time periods involved in the process. If this is all a bit too much for you, but you want to keep your brand protected from misuse, we can assist with registering your unique trademark with CIPC.

Memorandum of incorporation (“MOI”)
