The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) is pleased to inform you that significant progress has been made in addressing delays in company and close corporation re-instatement applications and enquiries.

Processing times have been reduced, with automatic handling once applications are indexed.

Key updates:

🔄 Entities must file outstanding Annual Returns & AFS/FAS within 30 days to return to “in business” status.
📄 Beneficial Ownership Declarations can be filed after re-instatement.
🚫 Avoid duplicate submissions. Do not resubmit applications, it causes delays.

Trusts have two options to confirm or update their details:

🔹 On the eFiling first page of the Tax Return Form Wizard, select "Yes" for the question "Have the banking, contact and trustee details of the Trust been verified and confirmed as correct?"

🔹 Log into your eFiling profile, click on “Workpage” then “Maintain legal entity details”. The Registration Amendments and Verification Form (RAV01) will open, confirm the details, and proceed to file the return.

Filing Season 2024 Dates:
🔹 Individual taxpayers: 15 July - 21 Oct 2024
🔹 Auto-assessment notices: 1-14 July 2024
🔹 Provisional taxpayers: 15 July - 20 Jan 2025
🔹 Trusts: 16 Sept - 20 Jan 2025
