I know I’ve been quiet. I’ve been living

A few years ago I got on a plane with a suitcase, a one-way ticket to Rio for Carnival, and only the first two nights booked — because I didn’t know how long I wanted to stay. There was no turning back.

Zig Ziglar said yesterday ended last night. Today is a brand new day. I didn’t really understand that until I was sitting on a beach watching the sun come up over the South China Sea.

No matter what — the sun will always rise. And it will always set. The sunset closes the chapter. The sunrise opens a new one.
