VND-PHP exchange rates are becoming worse due to the increasing rates on the VND side.

Good news for all our customers who're using GCash to receive their remittance. Nagcacashout parin ba kayo and paying high cashout fees sa mga tindahan out there? GCash just released their VISA GCash Card which is better than their mastercard before. How exactly? Look at this comparison:

GCash Mastercard (OLD):
ATM Withdrawal Fee: 10 PHP- 18 PHP + 2% of the amount you withdraw

GCash Visa (NEW):
ATM Withdrawal Fee: 10 PHP- 18 PHP

Ex. You withdraw 10,000 PHP. With the OLD Mastercard, you get charged 10,210 PHP (10000 + 10 + 200). With the NEW Visa, you get charged just 10,010 PHP (10000 + 10).

At higher amounts, the fee on the old card would cost more because you'll be paying 2% more to withdraw.

Setting everyone's expectations.

We are focusing our PHP transfers on our GCash wallets. If you do not know, there is a fee of 15 PHP that we pay to transfer to a bank account. We don't mind shouldering this as it is a part of the service. We also don't have a minimum required amount to send. If you ask us to transfer 1 PHP to your bank account, we will accommodate this.

Now this is where our concern comes in. There are customers who just need to transfer smaller amounts to their bank accounts. This is where we lose any potential earning from a transaction. Since we get 1% as profit, imagine if someone asks to transfer 100 PHP to a bank account. We are supposed to earn 1 PHP from that, but since we have to pay 15 PHP to transfer, we lose 14 PHP instead. At the end of the day, V2P is a business.

Moving forward, For all PHP orders below 2,500 PHP that's to be transferred to a bank account, we will be asking you to shoulder the 15 PHP transfer fee.

Don't feel like paying 15 PHP for orders below 2,500 PHP? No worries, go for GCash transfers. We won't ask you for any additional fees.

Kindly expect slower response time on the following dates: 24, 25, 31, and 1. Yes, we also celebrate them, but of course, business as usual.

Baka po may mga nagtataka bakit nagtataas tayo ng exchange rate.

Bumaba po significantly ang palitan last month kaya naenjoy natin ang mababang palitan. But looking at how things are right now, tumataas po ulit kahit sa aming pinagkukuhanan.

So tumataas din po ang aming rate. Di po ito always pababa. 😅

Clarification: hindi po 425 ang rate natin ha. Please don't be confused. Rates shown in google is just a base rate, it doesn't cover fees and expenses to send money to another country.

Early last year, we lost out source of income in Vietnam. We barely had enough money for food, let alone bills. Sticking to a mere 30K VND budget per meal for two people, and bills weren't even there yet.

So in short, sobrang broke ng finances namin! But a friend told us, "why not offer your services to other people?"

Kasi nga tinutulangan namin silang magpadala sa pinas for quite a few months already. And in return, they gave us a little on the side to add to our meager budget.

We decided to try it. Kabadong kabado kami kasi sino ba naman magtitiwala sa dalawang unknown na mga pinoy on a faraway province?

We still remember the panic on our first biggest transaction a day after we opened V2P which was 100,000 PHP. Second day with no reputation nor credibility and someone put their faith into our service, but we pulled it off!

A year later, we're back in the Philippines, still on the business, but working on a different field. But what didn't change is our commitment to provide a service to customers just like on our very first day.

As of June 14, 2022 V2P is ONE YEAR OLD! Happy anniversary sa lahat ng mga sumubok, nanatili, nagtiwala, at patuloy na nagtitiwala sa aming serbisyo!
