In 8 years of doing rescue, I have learned one fact over pretty much all else…NO RESCUE can be successful without a good relationship with a competent, compassionate, generous, hard working Veterinarian and staff.
That could not be truer than it is in my case. I am a small Rescue operation that functions on less than a shoestring budget.
If it wasn’t for the kindness and generosity of my vet, I would have had to have shut this whole thing down years ago.
Not only does she help me keep these pups healthy, she is also willing to listen, when I am trying to explain what ever it is we are dealing with, not just dismiss you, and jump to incorrect conclusions.
I find myself at her clinic pretty much every week, some times multiple times a week.
Please help me to shout out some appreciation to my favorite Vet, Dr. Julie Evans, DVM at Ark Valley Animal Hospital in Valley Center, Ks. We couldn’t do it without you, Lady!!
That being said, with all of the young people going back to school, and sports seasons taking shape, Dr. Julie is having a hard time finding reliable, hardworking staff, willing to work in a small, high volume, fast paced veterinary clinic, so I wanted to throw it out there.
If there is anyone in the Wichita, Park City, Valley Center, Sedgwick area that my be looking for full or part time work as a Vet Tech. or Receptionist, or looking to volunteer to walk the dogs, or help with misc. chores around the clinic, please contact...

So i am needing some suggestions. I am looking a nice accessible back drop for some new rescue pup pics. Not looking for something down town with people every where. Just maybe some nice landscapimg, or flower, or plants or something. Any thoughts? Housing addition parks?

Pupdate time!!!

Dudley and Blaine, the insanely bonded pair of littermate brothers that I rescued last year after being dumped in the country, and surviving on killing chickens, have sent me some new pics.

In April, I drove them out to their new furever home in the very NW corner of Utah. After having them for about 10 months, I was luckily able to find a home for them, that would take both of them, and keep them together forever. Bonded pairs are exceptionally hard to place…especially 2 crazy, maniac monkey butts.

With the financial help of several very generous members of this page, I was able to drive the 44 hour round trip, to get them to their new life. These 2, super sweet, high energy 2 year old brothers are now part of a young, very active family, living in the gorgeous mountains of NW Utah. They now have matching furless, 2 legged brothers, old enough to handle the rough and tumble play of these 2, but young enough to grow up together with these sweet pups.

It warms my heart to see them settle into the life they deserve, with a family that loves them so completely.

We did have a bit of a scare a few weeks back, when the sprinkler contractor came into the yard, scaring Dudley so badly, that he went right over their 6’ privacy fence like it wasn’t there, and ended up going missing for a few days. Their new Daddy called me right away and let me know what was going on, and that they had been out with teams of folks looking for him. He was wearing an Air Pod tag (?) but it only works if you are within a hundred yards or something. Luckily after a few days he found his way home. I wholly believe he stayed close because his baby brother was still there, and he didn’t know what to do by himself.

He has since been upgraded to a new GPS tracking collar, and they have been out enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

Welcome home Monkey Butts! You be good boys for me. Until we meet again.

Turns my stomach, when I think of what we do, and sacrifice for our rescues. These people should be charged with a felony case for EVERY SINGLE SOUL.

Update...she is safe...will.be going tonher foster this weekend.

Do i know anyone in Wichita who foster this baby girl until Friday. She is euth listed simply for space. She is dog selective so she would do best just renting a private room from you for a few days. She is house trained and crate trained.

Another pupdate...
Back in Feb. I was
contacted about an older gentleman who was in need of a new furever home. Mr. Maddox needed to find a new home and in pretty short order. We were able to find him the perfect home, with an amazing couple and their 4 year old pupper, in a beautiful home, on some land, out in the country. I got to stop by for a visit this weekend, and Mr. Maddox was so excited to see me, he peed all over me. Lol. His skin issues have cleared up, he has out on some much needed weight, and he is living his absolute best life. Him and his brother ebded up being the perfect compliment to eachother, and i couldnt be happier for them all. Welcome home Mad-Man!!

Some long past due updates, for anyone who cares.
Back in Nov. I rescued a little 4 month old boxer girl, who was left at her vet, because the owner said she was aggressive. She only wanted to chew on you and bark at you...i mean...she was a 4 month old boxer...but...anyways, we found her a new furever family, and i took her up to Lincoln, Neb. To hand her off to her new family. They named her Ruby, and she has been a dream ever since. She is all grown up now, healthy, happy, and living her best life. Makes my heart happy.

After a 20 hour non-stop drive, my babies Dudley and Blaine (soon to be Duncan and Barkley) have been delivered to their new furever family thanks to the help of extended family they have never met. Thank you all for the help. Now they are getting set to walk to school and meet their new bald 2 legged brothers. I couldn't be happier, or more broken hearted to see them go. It really is like giving your own kids away. Love you two to pieces. Be good boys for me.

Big day for the monkey butt brothers, Dudley and Blaine. We are 10 hours into a 38 hoir round trip to their new home, and back for me and Riggs. We managed to find a nice, active young family with 2 young sons, that was interested in taking both of them. After having them for 9 months and only ever receiving 4 applications for them, we managed to find their happily ever after. Everyone send some love and well wishes to these sweet boys as they start their new lives.
After it is all said and done, this trip will cost me about 2-3 times what i am adopting them out for, a d it all comes out of pocket, so of anyone wants to contribute to their ride home, we would be more than appreciative.
