Yesterday, September 15, was the deadline to file extended S-Corp & Partnership returns. If you didn’t file a return, you’re not the first person to do so. Step one is not to panic!

Step two is to file your past due return as soon as possible, as the longer you wait the more penalties you’ll collect.

Step three is to consider speaking to a tax professional so that you don’t put this off!

At Boyer 2 Accountants, we consider this time our “2nd tax season.”

Over the next two months, we focus our attention on finishing S-corp and Partnership Extensions, due on September 15, as well as Individual Extensions, due on October 15.

The industry is experiencing a shortage due to low enrollments in accounting programs nationwide. But, this means your value as an accountant is at an extreme high!

Moving makes your tax return more complex. 📑 🏠

Something Boyer 2 Accountants saw a lot of this tax season was clients moving from one to state to another.

These life changes are equally exciting and stressful! When you move, especially state-to-state, your return automatically becomes more tedious.

You will need to file a return in both your previous state of resident AND your new one.

If you self-prepare, you’ll want to ensure you are not OVER-taxing yourself or missing any credits.

Life changes like this can prompt individuals and families to invest in a tax professional to make sure it’s done correctly!
