Selling a policy before the mission is analyzed? 🚩
There's a pattern that follows service members right out the gate.
Seminars. Free dinners. "No-cost" reviews. And an advisor who somehow always has the same product ready, regardless of your situation.
Life insurance isn't the enemy here. The problem is when a product gets placed before anyone has mapped the full financial picture.
A proper transition review should cover your SBP election, pension, VA disability, TSP, civilian income, your spouse's earnings, your tax situation, your estate goals, and your real survivor income need.
That's a mission analysis, and it should happen before any product conversation.
Veterans navigating transition deserve coordinated, fiduciary advice, not a commission event dressed up as a free dinner.
