Meet the Founder of Knights & Company
Everyone’s story is different, and mine is far from perfect.
At 15 years old, I became a mother and dropped out of high school. I was the girl who cried over her first “B,” so becoming a pregnant teenager felt like I had disappointed myself and my entire family. I went from making straight A’s to becoming a statistic I never imagined for my life.
Years later, I met an amazing man—now my husband—who saw potential in me that I had almost forgotten existed. He pushed me to return to school and refused to let me give up on myself.
When I walked across the stage to receive my bachelor’s degree, it was the first graduation stage I had ever walked across. Having my children there watching me made every sacrifice worth it.
But I didn’t stop there.
I earned my master’s degree. I worked day and night. I built successful businesses. I stayed determined, hungry, and focused—even when life became difficult.
I refused to let the beginning of my story determine the ending. I refused to become a statistic because I had children watching me—and I needed them to see that setbacks do not cancel your purpose.
Your journey may not look like everyone else’s, but that doesn’t mean you won’t reach your destination. Sometimes the road that breaks you is the same road that builds you.
I’m still becoming. Still growing. Still building. And most importantly, I’m showing my children that it is never too late to change the story. 🎓💪🏽✨
