To all my family, friends, and tax clients that have been asking and wondering if we should wait to file taxes or move forward with our lives and just do it! Here it is..... congress HAS passed the increased child tax credit, BUT, it's now in the Senate's hands for approval. So, the advise has been not to wait, FILE, since this could take some time or get denied alltogether.

Call taxpayers advocate @ 1-877-777-4778
Like a lot of other people on here. Alot of you are having a problem getting ahold of the IRS. The IRS site just keeps saying no returns have been processed.
Last week a client called the Taxpayers Advocate's office and talked to someone there. They transferred the call to the 800-829-1040 line. Was told they are just now starting on the paper returns and the wait time could be 3 months.
