🚨 TIPPED WORKERS — THIS ONE IS FOR YOU! 💰💰
If you work in an occupation where tipping is customary, you may be eligible for the new “No Tax on Tips” deduction for tax years 2025–2028.
💡 HERE’S THE TAX GEM:
You may be able to deduct up to $25,000 of qualified tips from your federal taxable income — whether you take the standard deduction or itemize. 🙌🏾
BUT HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 👇🏾
🚨 YOU STILL HAVE TO REPORT YOUR TIPS!
“No Tax on Tips” does NOT mean “don’t report your tips.”
Your qualified tips must be properly reported to claim the deduction. The IRS specifically provides for qualified tips reported on required statements or, in certain situations, reported by the taxpayer on Form 4137. (IRS)
And remember: the deduction can be limited based on income. It phases out when modified adjusted gross income exceeds $150,000 ($300,000 for married filing jointly). (IRS)
💰 So if you’re a server, bartender, stylist, barber, nail tech, delivery worker, or another eligible tipped worker… DON’T leave money on the table by guessing your way through your tax return!
Your tax return should tell the story of your income accurately AND take advantage of every deduction you legally qualify for.
