Earlier this month the president touted $5,000 stimulus checks if Republicans win the midterms. The irony is rising costs might outpace the check before it’s even issued(if it’s ever issued).

What are your thoughts on this possible stimulus checks and the current state of the economy?

We’re less than 30 days from the SCorp (Form 1120s) and Partnership(Form 1065) extended tax deadline which is September 15th. If you have either of these two entities, then you should be making sure your bookkeeping is completed & book your tax appointment asap. Don’t wait until September to do this.

If you have a Sole Proprietorship (Sch C) or a regular Corporation (Form 1120), your extended tax deadline is October 15th. But don’t let the deadline sneak up on you, step on the gas and get that bookkeeping completed soon so you can file your taxes before the deadline.

If you have regular individual taxes (form 1040), then your extended tax deadline is October 15th.

As the post states the courts can still overturn this decision but the form is to preserve the right to claim a refund for penalties paid during that period if the decision is upheld.

The app has recently gone live and it’s already creating a lot of confusion. If you have qualifying dependents and want to enroll them, file form 4547 first then once that’s processed you can move forward to finish activating their account.

A lot of people filed form 4547 through their 2025 tax return earlier in the year. If you did, keep an eye out for mail/emails from the official [email protected] email to activate and for notifications. More information to follow…
