Leadership doesn’t only happen behind a desk. 🧡🇺🇸

We’re excited to share that Team Wright Taxes founder Lovely Ganthier has been selected for the 2026 Davis-Monthan Air Force Base Honorary Commander Program, recognized for her “civic leadership and commitment to Southern Arizona.”

This opportunity connects several parts of the work Lovely and Team Wright Taxes are already doing in Southern Arizona.

Through Greater Tucson Leadership, Lovely had the opportunity to spend a day at Davis-Monthan learning about its mission, its Airmen, and its importance to our region. Through Team Wright Taxes, we also have the privilege of serving members of our military community.

Now, Lovely has an opportunity to deepen that understanding through leadership development and service.

The Honorary Commander Program pairs community leaders with commanders at Davis-Monthan to strengthen relationships between the base and the broader Southern Arizona community.

At Team Wright Taxes, continued learning is part of how we serve.

We believe good advisory work requires more than knowing tax rules. It requires understanding businesses, people, communities, and the systems surrounding the financial decisions our clients make.

That is bigger than any one person at TWT. It is part of the firm we are building.

From learning to pouring back into our community. 🧡

After returning from the IRS Nationwide Tax Forum, it was incredibly rewarding to immediately put that knowledge to work for local small-business owners at HUSTL Hour.

We talked taxes, bookkeeping, business compliance, Arizona TPT, business structure, and some of those seemingly “small” decisions that can become expensive when overlooked.

And sitting next to a tax attorney made for one particularly fun discovery: sometimes the most accurate answer really is… “It depends.” 😂

What meant the most was hearing business owners share afterward that they learned things they didn’t even realize they needed to know. That’s exactly why these conversations matter.

Thank you Local First Arizona and HUSTL for creating space for local entrepreneurs to ask candid questions, learn, connect, and strengthen their businesses. 🧡

And then came an unexpected blessing: we were approached afterward about more opportunities to present, with attendees sharing that they wanted to recommend Team Wright Taxes within their networks.

And we already know where we’re headed next. 🎤

I went to San Diego expecting to come home with more knowledge. I did. But I came home richer in relationships, too. ❤️

Looking through these pictures, I keep thinking about how many people added something to this experience.

Tax professionals shared knowledge freely. Presenters stayed after their sessions to answer questions. People made introductions, offered mentorship, encouraged us, welcomed us, laughed with us and became new friends.

Then came the wonderfully unexpected moments. 🥰

We crossed paths with championship fighters and the teams supporting them as they prepared for fight night. I got to speak with some of them, and they graciously stopped to meet my fellow tax pro Fred and take pictures with him. 🥊🏆

And Wildcat to Wildcat 🐻⬇️, the University of Arizona Women’s Volleyball team was staying at our hotel while in San Diego to compete, and players invited us to their game. 🏐

What struck me across all these encounters was the team spirit.

Different arenas. Different gifts. Different expressions of excellence. Nobody gets there entirely alone.

That’s why I believe gratitude is a force multiplier.

Behind so many moments of excellence are people who taught, encouraged, prepared, supported, connected, challenged or simply showed up.

So to every person pictured here, and the many who aren’t:

Thank you for what you shared. Thank you for how you welcomed us. Thank you for adding something to our journey. ❤️

At Team Wright Taxes, we want what is poured into us to keep moving. We learn, we grow, we share, and we pour into others.

Receive it. Appreciate it. Multiply it.

We came home richer because of you. Now it’s our responsibility to multiply it.

Be fabulous while learning. Better yet, be fabulous for learning. 💰✨

There is a due-diligence responsibility that comes with being a tax professional. Tax law changes. The way people earn money changes. Technology changes. Staying current matters.

That’s why I refuse to believe that initials behind someone’s name should be the end of the conversation about competence.

Credentials tell you what someone has accomplished. They don’t tell you whether that person stayed curious, continued developing their expertise, or how seriously they approach professional growth.

I came to my first IRS Nationwide Tax Forum ready to LEARN.

I sat in the front. I asked LOTS of questions. 💃🏿 I listened to IRS leadership and subject matter experts and learned from practitioners with decades more experience.

And when I didn’t know something, I asked.

By the end of the conference, other professionals were thanking me for my questions and telling me they listened more intently when I approached the microphone because they knew we might uncover something beyond the slides. 🥰

I also walked in knowing no one and left embraced by a community of tax professionals, with seeds of new friendships and professional relationships across the country. I appreciated the positive engagement with IRS representatives, too.

For a recovering perfectionist, there’s freedom in realizing “I don’t know yet” is powerful when it’s followed by a willingness to find out.

I can learn. I can contribute. I can elevate the room while learning in it. And I can have a fabulous time doing it. 💁🏾‍♀️

I also completed enough CE this year to qualify for my AFSP Record of Completion, giving me limited IRS representation rights for returns I prepare and sign and placement in the IRS’s public directory of tax return preparers with credentials and select qualifications.

Investing in me is an investment in the clients who trust me.

Wisdom isn’t something I intend to perform. It’s something I intend to keep pursuing.

Call me The Money Lady. Call me Tax Strategist Barbie. 😂 Either way, I’m going to keep growing. 💰📚
