🌵 Oh my gourd! Fall has officially arrived in the Old Pueblo! 🍁

October in Tucson means cooler desert
breezes, incredible local food, and some of
our favorite annual traditions. If you're
looking to fill your calendar this month, here
are 5 fun things you can't miss:

1️⃣ Tucson Meet Yourself (Oct 16–18):
Downtown transforms into a massive
celebration of food, music, and folk arts.
(Come hungry—the food stalls are
legendary!)

2️⃣ Mount Lemmon Scenic Drive: Escape to
Summerhaven to catch the changing fall
foliage and grab a giant cookie from the
Cookie Cabin.

3️⃣ Nightfall at Old Tucson: For the thrill-
seekers, Tucson's iconic haunted town
returns with spooky mazes, live stunt shows,
and scare zones.

4️⃣ Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival:
Perfect for families—50 acres of corn
mazes, pumpkin picking, hayrides, and
farm animals.

5️⃣ Boo at the Zoo-
Head to Reid Park Zoo for family-friendly evening October 22-25!

We hope that got a little chuckle out of you, because today is World Smile Day! 😊✨ We're big believers that a simple smile can turn your whole day around.

Turn that frown upside down and pass along a few of these to brighten someone else's feed: 👇

With Q4 just around the corner, now is the time to review your year-end financial checklist.

Waiting until December to manage retirement accounts can lead to missed deadlines and unnecessary tax penalties. Early review may help you stay organized and meet your year-end deadlines.

As you review your portfolio this quarter, make sure to check off these three critical items:

☑️Satisfy Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): Ensure all required distributions are processed accurately to avoid steep IRS penalties. 1

☑️Execute Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you are eligible and plan to give to charity, make sure your QCD checks are issued directly to the charity before the year-end deadline. 1

☑️True-Up Retirement Contributions: Review your year-to-date contributions for IRAs and employer-sponsored retirement plans to maximize your savings limits.

Don't wait for the December rush. Reach out to your advisory team this week to review your accounts and ensure everything is on track for a successful year-end.

🗓️ Annual RMD Reminder If you are required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) this year, it's important to plan your strategy early.

Eligible account owners generally have two approaches to satisfy the RMD requirement:

• Take the distribution directly: The distribution is processed as standard taxable income.

• Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD): Transferring funds directly from your IRA to a qualified charity may satisfy your RMD while excluding the distributed amount from your taxable income. For a qualified distribution, the charity must be a 501(c)(3), the funds must go directly from your IRA to the charity, and there are maximum QCD limits which apply.

📅 Remember: RMDs must be satisfied by December 31, 2026. While year-end may seem far away, we encourage clients to complete their RMDs well before the deadline to help ensure processing is completed on time and to avoid last-minute administrative delays.

❤️ If you're considering a QCD, completing it earlier may also allow your chosen charity to benefit from the funds sooner, helping support its programs and services throughout the year.

💡 Visit IRS.gov and consult your tax professional to determine whether a QCD is appropriate for your individual circumstances and charitable goals.

Happy National Quesadilla Day! 🧀🔥

As proud Tucsonans, we take our local food heritage seriously (shoutout to our UNESCO City of Gastronomy status!). If you are looking to celebrate today with a masterpiece of a quesadilla, here are our local, team-favorite spots around town:

Annie's favorite, 🌮 The Local Legend: THE QUESADILLAS
Mary's favorite, 🥑 The Award-Winner: AMELIAS MEXICAN KITCHEN
Tony's favorite, 👩‍🍳 Nothing beats Moms!
Madisen, 👩‍🍳 Same, Nothing beats Moms!

Let’s be honest, no matter how many great spots there are in Tucson, nothing beats a homemade quesadilla straight off Mom's comal. Cooked with love, perfectly melted cheese, and a secret recipe that can't be replicated.

The Pro-Tip: You have to call ahead to see if she's cooking, and if you're lucky, she might even make a batch of fresh guacamole to go with it.

Now it's your turn to chime in!

We want to know: Where is your absolute favorite quesadilla in Tucson? Drop your go-to spot or your favorite custom toppings so we can add it to our team lunch spreadsheet! 👇

If your income were to stop tomorrow, could your family maintain their current lifestyle? Is your family truly protected for who you are today, or are they covered for who you were ten years ago?

We look at the big picture to ensure every piece of your financial puzzle works together. Protecting your family's future is just as important as growing your portfolio.

Let’s review how risk management fits into your broader wealth strategy. Schedule an introductory meeting today: https://go.oncehub.com/NewToSFG
