In this video, I'm talking about the 529 college savings plan cost calculator. How much do you need to save into your child's 529 college savings plan to reach your funding goal? The calculator shows the costs of each college or can give you an average cost to help you estimate those costs today and tomorrow.
This is not the prepaid 529 college savings plans, but specifically for figuring out how much to save into a college funded goal.
I've seen too many ads lately showing the costs of a 529 plan that won't fund to the level I believe is expected. It's great to start saving what you can, but it's very important to understand how those costs work so you are not disappointed.
