GDM had a great time participating in the Fall Career Fair at McNeese State University! 💙💛

We’re proud of our continued partnership with McNeese and love having the opportunity to connect with students interested in the accounting profession. Internships have been such a valuable part of our firm, giving students real-world experience while allowing us to meet and mentor the next generation of accounting professionals.

We’re always excited to meet future CPAs and hopefully a few future members of the GDM team!

An extension gives you more time to FILE — not more time to PAY.

And for all of our extended-return friends… your extra time is almost up.

October 15 is coming.

If you’re still sitting on tax documents your accountant has been asking for since April, consider this your friendly reminder to SEND. THEM. IN.

And remember: extending your return didn’t extend the deadline to pay your tax. Any balance due was generally still due by the original filing deadline.

🩷 Happy 5th Work Anniversary to our Hannah! 🩷

For the past five years, Hannah has been such an important part of our GDM family. She spends most her days taking care of our hotel and not-for-profit clients, always bringing her knowledge, dependability, and dedication to everything she does.

Five years means a lot — it’s five years of growing together, busy seasons, deadlines, laughs, changes, and so many memories along the way. We are incredibly thankful for Hannah and all that she has contributed to GDM over the years.

We’re so lucky to have her on our team and can’t wait to see what the next five years bring. 🩷

Happy GDM anniversary to the Queen of QuickBooks, convenience stores & contractors herself! 💻✨

For 4 years, Alicia has been keeping books balanced, QuickBooks behaving (mostly 😏), and more convenience stores and contractors straight than we can count.

New mileage rates were effective July 1, 2026!

So yes, your business miles are officially worth a little more. And no, “I drive a lot” still isn’t acceptable mileage documentation.

Last Friday, we closed the office a little early and traded spreadsheets for laser tag!

Our GDM team enjoyed lunch at Darrell’s and some much-needed team-building time at Game2Life. It was a great afternoon to get out of the office, have some fun, and enjoy time together outside of our normal workday.

We’re always happy to support other local businesses, and if you haven’t checked out Game2Life yet, you definitely should! Such a fun experience and a great option for groups, parties, or team outings.
