We recently were treated to a visit from Kajira K. Mugambi, the CEO of Village Hopecore International. Our very own Daryl Petrick serves as chairman of their board of directors. This worthwhile organization provides clean drinking water, hand washing stations, and mobile health clinics to 200 schools in Chogoria, Kenya. In addition, they have a micro-finance program that provides $600 loans to villagers to enable them to start a business.

Congratulations and Happy Retirement to Chris Steinmetz, who retired after 30 years with Bowman. Chris was a valued member of our Accounting Services Department, and was known for her diligence and hard work. She is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, who also is retiring this year.

Yesterday, we held our annual Fun Friday celebration over the lunch hour. This time of year is stressful for all, and FF provides a welcome, although brief, breather. The theme was “Intern-In-Training” and each team had to complete a variety of intern-like duties, such as paper shredding, going to the gas station, and providing a snack...all of which were timed and scored by unscrupulous judges.

Today we celebrated Dolores Lopez’ retirement after 34 years of full time employment at Bowman & Company. She managed our Accounting Services Department and was/is a reliable, trusted employee. Dolores will continue to assist when needed, but she has travel plans in the works to visit relatives in Italy. Well deserved! Thank you, Dolores!

Bowman & Company donated 50 turkeys, 120 cans of vegetables, 15 boxes of mashed potatoes, 50 boxes of stuffing, 50 cans of gravy, and 400 dinner rolls to the St. Mary’s Dining Room for the holidays. Thanks, everyone, for your help in shopping and delivery.

The Bowman & Company tradition of Fun Friday 2017 was celebrated on April 7. The theme for this year’s festivities, a child’s birthday party, was inspired by the recent birth of Cedric to Shin (Sr. Accountant) and Jerry Liu. Party games, entertainment (provided by staff) and food were all part of this annual celebration!

We were privileged to celebrate Pam Pichi's 14,600 days of employment (40 years) at Bowman & Company last Friday night. Pam refers to Bowman as her "forever work home", and we're truly thankful it has been! The partners and staff shared stories and examples of what makes Pam the invaluable lynch pin at Bowman. The pics of the younger staff raising their hands were those who weren't even born when Pam began working at Bowman - about half the room of 50+ employees.

Dingler is a 2004 graduate of UC Santa Barbara and has been licensed as a CPA since 2009. Ryan specializes in taxation and accounting of real estate and construction, agricultural interests, family-owned businesses, and high net worth individuals. He, his wife Lindsay, and children Alexandra and Trent reside in the Lodi wine country.
Bowman & Company is listed among the largest 300 accounting firms in the United States, and has been named among the 50 "Best of the Best" firms nationally in both 2015 and 2016 by an industry trade publication. The firm's 50 team members serve the tax and accounting needs of many of the area's most notable businesses and families. The firm was founded in 1949 by one of the pillars of the Stockton business community, Herbert H. Bowman. Dingler becomes the 23rd partner in the 67-year history of the firm.

Join with us, clean out a closet and help keep someone warm this winter! We are collecting new and gently-used coats for those who are in need during this chilly season of the year. We have high expectations and hope you'll help us meet our goal of filling (at least) this donation box; as you can see, the donation box isn't even close to filled so we have plenty of room to add YOUR donation.
The coat drive is being done in cooperation with Quick's Glass Service and Stockton Auto Glass in Stockton. Coats can be dropped by our office at 10100 Trinity Parkway, Suite 310 before December 16. If you have a large donation and need help getting it brought in, give us a call at 473-1040 so we can help.
All coats will be donated through St. Mary's Dining Room.
