**Retiring doesn’t mean you have to claim Social Security right away.**

Delaying can increase your monthly benefit—and potentially the total benefits you receive over your lifetime.

But how do you cover expenses while you wait?

Savings, investments, part-time work, or an annuity structured for bridge income can help fund those gap years.

The key is weighing what you’ll use today against the larger Social Security payment you could receive later.

**Have you thought about retirement and Social Security as two separate decisions?**

Joski Financial | Plan. Align. Achieve.

For educational purposes only. Delaying does not guarantee greater total lifetime benefits. Annuity costs, terms, taxes, and liquidity should be considered.

Retirement planning starts with questions.

What if I retire earlier than planned? Can I afford to retire?Should I take Social Security now or wait? How do I turn my savings into a paycheck?

Those questions rarely have a one-size-fits-all answer. Your income, investments, Social Security, taxes, healthcare, and goals all affect the decision.

My role at Joski Financial is to help bring those pieces together, understand the tradeoffs, and build a plan around the retirement you’re actually trying to create.

Because a financial plan shouldn’t just tell you what you have.It should help you understand what’s possible and what to do next.

Changed jobs over the years? You may have an old 401(k), IRA, or other retirement account sitting somewhere in the background.

That doesn't necessarily mean you need to move it.

But it may be worth taking a second look.

What do you own? How is it invested? What are you paying? And most importantly—does it still fit with the rest of your financial plan?

Sometimes the best decision is to leave it right where it is. Sometimes there may be better options.

Either way, it starts with understanding what you have.

Have an old retirement account you'd like a second look at? Let's talk.

I'm excited to share that I've earned my IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) Certification.

IRMAA is one of the most overlooked aspects of retirement planning. A higher income in retirement can increase Medicare Part B and Part D premiums, sometimes by hundreds or even thousands of dollars each year.

Understanding how IRMAA works allows me to help clients:
• Understand how Medicare premiums are calculated.
• Recognize income events that may trigger higher premiums.
• Coordinate retirement income with Social Security, tax planning, and Medicare.
• Identify situations where an IRMAA appeal may be appropriate after a qualifying life-changing event.

This certification is another step in my commitment to providing clear, practical guidance for retirees and those approaching retirement.

Retirement planning isn't just about investments. It's about coordinating the many decisions that work together—including Social Security, Medicare, taxes, income planning, and insurance.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Joski Financial as we continue to grow and serve our community.

I'm excited to share that I've earned the National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®) Certification.

Social Security is one of the most important retirement decisions many people will make, yet it's also one of the most misunderstood. The timing of your benefits can affect retirement income, taxes, Medicare premiums, and the financial security of a surviving spouse.

Earning the NSSA® Certification has strengthened my knowledge of the Social Security rules and strategies that help clients better understand their options. While every situation is unique, my goal is always the same: provide clear explanations, answer questions, and help people make informed decisions that fit their overall retirement plan.

At Joski Financial, I believe retirement planning is about more than investments. It's about coordinating all the moving pieces—including Social Security, Medicare, retirement income, taxes, and insurance—into a plan that gives you confidence for the future.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Joski Financial as we grow and serve our community.
