The third quarter estimated tax payment deadline is September 15.
If your income has shifted since you last reviewed your estimates, now is a good time to make sure your payment reflects where the year is actually heading. Underpaying can trigger penalties on top of what you owe at filing, and overpaying ties up cash your business could be using in the meantime.
If you have questions about what you owe for Q3, we are glad to help you work through it before the deadline.

Tax season is easier and less expensive for business owners who stay organized throughout the year.
A few habits that make a real difference: reconciling your accounts monthly rather than quarterly, keeping business and personal expenses clearly separated and holding on to documentation for any expense you plan to deduct. Small gaps in recordkeeping have a way of becoming larger problems when it comes time to file.
If your books are not where you want them to be heading into Q4, there is still time to get organized. We can help.

The Q3 estimated tax payment deadline is September 15.
If your income has been higher than expected this year, your payment may need to be adjusted upward. If business has been slower, there may be room to recalibrate. Either way, defaulting to last quarter's number without a quick review can lead to an underpayment penalty — or unnecessary overpayment.
It is worth a look before the deadline arrives. We are glad to help you work through it.

If April 15 came and went and you didn’t file, the best thing you can do is act fast.
The IRS penalties for late filing add up quickly. If you owe, get your return in as soon as possible.
If you're due a refund, there's no penalty—but why leave money sitting with the IRS?

If you owed more than expected or got a big refund, it might be time to adjust your W-4. A refund is just the IRS giving you your own money back, interest-free. And if you owed more than you planned, adjusting now can prevent surprises next April.
