How to Hire the Right Help for Your Numbers

Understanding the difference helps you choose the right level of support, and the right price point, so you’re getting exactly what you need without overpaying or ending up with less help than you expected for $$$.

One important thing to keep in mind: experience matters just as much as credentials. Some professionals specialize deeply in certain areas, while others have a broader range of experience. For example, there are CPAs who don’t work in tax at all, I even prepare tax returns for other CPAs because that’s not their focus.

Good questions to ask:

What types of roles have they held?
How complex is their tax or financial experience?
Have they been decision-makers in financial or business roles?
