🚨 MICHIGAN TAX REFUND UPDATE
Still waiting on your Michigan state tax refund? You are not alone.
According to the Michigan Department of Treasury, about 66,000 on-time filers are still waiting for their refunds, down from nearly 95,000 at the beginning of August.
The state says it has already processed approximately 5.25 million returns and issued about $3.7 billion in refunds this year.
Some delays have been connected to Michigan’s transition from an older computer system to new software.
💻 Taxpayers can use Michigan Treasury E-Services 24/7 to:
• Check refund status
• View and send correspondence
• Access personal tax information
If you are experiencing a financial hardship, you can contact Michigan Individual Income Tax Customer Contact at 517-636-4486 and request a callback if hold times are long.
If you have exhausted your other options, you may also contact the Michigan Taxpayer Advocate at 517-636-4759.
