Remembering Don Fleming
The Santa Clarita Valley has lost a true community champion with the passing of Don Fleming.
Don’s life was defined by a simple but powerful belief: that we all have a responsibility to give back to the community around us. Through his generosity, leadership, and countless acts of support, Don consistently demonstrated what it means to invest in the place you call home.
Together with his late wife, Cheri, Don and his family were generous contributors to the Santa Clarita Valley and to the many organizations and causes that make our community stronger. As the owners of Valencia Acura, Don and Cheri understood that being a local business owner meant being more than a business in the community—it meant being a part of the community. Their support touched countless people and organizations throughout the Valley.
Don was truly dedicated to seeing the Santa Clarita Valley thrive—not only economically, but as a vibrant, connected, and supportive community.
Perhaps Don’s greatest legacy is not found in any single title, organization, or contribution. It is found in the people and causes he supported, the relationships he built, and the example he set. He gave generously of his time, resources, and experience, always with an eye toward making a difference.
Don understood that strong communities do not happen by accident. They are built by people who care, who step forward, and who are willing to give back. Don was one of those people. He leaves behind a remarkable legacy of generosity, leadership and community spirit. His contributions will continue to benefit the SCV for years to come.
His absence will be deeply felt across the Santa Clarita Valley and by the many organizations, colleagues, friends, and community members fortunate enough to know him. The Valley Industry Association extends our deepest condolences to Don’s family and loved ones, and our gratitude for a life so generously lived in service to others.
