Are some of your investments a loss instead of a win? There’s a strategy called Tax-Loss Harvesting that can help turn things around! With Tax-Loss Harvesting, you can:
✔️ Reduce your tax bill (now and in the future)
✔️ Trade investments that are down for similar assets that are up
✔️ Offset $3,000 of income on a joint tax return in one year
Now make sure you stay away from what’s called a “wash sale” – this is when your tax write-off gets denied because you purchased the same investment or a "substantially identical" investment within 30 days before or after the date you sold the loss-generating investment.
This may sound like a fine line to tread, but I’m here to help. If you want to learn more about which assets are a smart choice for Tax-Loss Harvesting, feel free to reach out!

As year-end approaches, our team at Reviresco Wealth Advisory is helping clients evaluate potential tax loss harvesting opportunities with care and intention. Thoughtful planning can help align realized losses with a broader tax strategy, but it requires a detailed and proactive review rather than rushed, last‑minute decisions.
We encourage investors to examine unrealized positions, consider future income expectations, and ensure any moves support long-term portfolio objectives—not just short-term tax outcomes. Effective coordination between investment management and tax planning is essential for high‑net‑worth households, especially during a busy planning season.
If you’d like our team to review your portfolio before year-end, now is an ideal time to begin the conversation.

Tax loss harvesting can be a valuable planning tool for high-net-worth investors, but it's often misunderstood. At Reviresco Wealth Advisory, we view it as part of a broader, long-term tax and investment strategy—not a reaction to short-term market headlines.
By intentionally realizing losses in a portfolio, investors may offset realized gains and improve overall tax efficiency. However, the decision to harvest losses should be coordinated with portfolio construction, future cash flow needs, and a family's long-term tax picture.
As a virtual family office, our team integrates tax planning, investment management, and comprehensive wealth oversight to help ensure strategies like tax loss harvesting support your broader financial plan.
If you're wondering whether tax loss harvesting is appropriate for your portfolio, we invite you to reach out and start the conversation.
