We’re in Q3 and your books haven’t been touched since January.

Sound familiar?

Here’s the truth: it’s not too late.

July is actually one of the best times to get caught up: before the year-end rush, before your CPA starts asking questions you can’t answer, and before tax season hits you like a surprise again.

I specialize in QBO cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping for small business owners who got behind.

We start from January, reconcile everything, categorize it correctly, and get your books current so you actually know where your business stands.

Don’t go into Q4 guessing. #

Una pregunta rápida para ti. 👇🏼

1. ¿Puedes nombrar ahora mismo tus tres categorías de gastos principales?

Here’s a quick gut check for you. 👇🏼

1. Can you name your top three expense categories right now?
2. Do you know which three clients brought in the most revenue this year?
3. Does tax season still catch you off guard every April?

If you hesitated on any of those ➡️ that’s the sign.

Your books should be answering those questions for you automatically, every single month.

That’s what working with an accountant actually looks like.

Not just filing your taxes once a year.

Knowing your numbers all year long.

Let’s talk about what that looks like for your business 👩🏻‍💼

🚨 Texas sales tax is due TODAY: July 20th.

Monthly and quarterly filers, this is your deadline. And if you’re a restaurant, retailer, photographer, contractor, online seller, salon, or event services business: yes, this applies to you too.

One thing I see constantly: business owners who don’t realize they’re supposed to be collecting and remitting sales tax in the first place. If you’re unsure whether you have a sales tax obligation in Texas, that’s a conversation we need to have.

Late filing = penalties + interest + potential Comptroller account hold. None of that is worth it.

DM me or email [email protected], I can help.

Halfway through 2026 — and most small business owners still don’t know if they’re actually profitable.

Not “my account looks okay.”

Actually profitable, after expenses, after payroll, after taxes are set aside.

Clean books don’t just keep you organized. They tell you where your money is going, what’s working, and what to do differently in the second half of the year.

That’s the difference between a bookkeeper and an accountant who does tax planning.

If you’re ready for that kind of clarity DM me or send me an email.

Let’s do a mid-year check-in.

📌 Texas business owners — your sales tax return is due July 20th.

Whether you’re a monthly or quarterly filer, that deadline applies to you. Late filing means penalties, interest, and potential holds on your Texas Comptroller account — none of which you want heading into summer.

And if you’re not sure how much you should be setting aside each month? That’s exactly the kind of clarity a good bookkeeper gives you.

Let’s talk before the deadline, not after it.
