ATTENTION TXCPA Members: I am conducting research as part of the requirements for a doctoral degree at Liberty University. The purpose of my research is to understand how a global organization’s decision to invest in cryptocurrency investments results in reduced profitability for the organization as well as exploring how a potential investor’s views of that organization impact the profitability and market share. Participants must possess the following criteria:
• 18 years old and older in age;
• Past, present, or potential future shareholders of the global organization;
• Interested in investing in individual stocks of global organizations;
• Retail investors;
• Lay person with basic knowledge of cryptocurrency;
• Potential consumer of the global organization’s products;
• CPA or accounting professional; and
• School of Business student with basic awareness of cryptocurrency and the global organization.
Participants will be asked various questions during an audio-recorded interview and informed if a follow-up will occur for member checking. If a follow-up interview is necessary, the researcher will contact the participant by phone and audio-record the meeting. The interview should take about 15 – 20 minutes to complete.
