βοΈ It's officially summer in SA, which means... A/C bills are climbing, staff is taking vacation, and your sales charts probably look weird this month.
That's normal! The trick is making sure your books CAPTURE the seasonality so December financials actually make sense.
More on that with your monthly review. Stay cool out there! βοΈ
If "monthly review" made you go "wait, I don't have one of those" β DM us BOOK. We'll get you set up.

After working with dozens of San Antonio business owners we kept seeing the same 3 mistakes come up over and over again
1οΈβ£ Staying a sole prop past the point it makes sense
The S-corp election is one of the most powerful tax strategies out there β and most business owners wait too long to make the switch. At $40K+ in profit it usually pays for itself many times over.
2οΈβ£ Overlooking Texas franchise tax
Texas doesn't have income tax but it does have franchise tax β and once you hit the threshold you're required to file. We catch this one all the time.
3οΈβ£ Treating payroll as an HR problem
Your payroll process directly impacts your tax liability. When it's not being managed by someone who understands the tax side errors and penalties are just a matter of time.
These aren't rare edge cases. They're everyday oversights that cost San Antonio business owners thousands every year.
The Doza Group is here to catch what others miss. π―

December tax planning is mostly damage control. July tax planning is actual strategy.
The difference is 5 months of runway to execute on what the numbers tell you.
Things still on the table in July that aren't in December:
β’ Restructuring how income flows through entities
β’ Adjusting estimated tax payments to avoid Q1 cash crunch
β’ Major asset purchases timed for optimal Section 179 / bonus depreciation
β’ Retirement plan adoption (some plans must be in place by year-end)
β’ Hiring decisions timed to optimize payroll tax outcomes
The businesses with the lowest effective tax rates aren't using secrets. They're just planning earlier and integrating tax thinking into operating decisions, not bolting it on after.
If you don't have a tax planning conversation on the calendar between now and Labor Day, that's the gap to close.
The Doza Group helps San Antonio business owners plan ahead, not catch up. DM us FREE to get started.

Why we publish our bookkeeping pricing publicly β and why most accounting firms don't.
The argument against: "Our work is custom. Pricing varies. Better to discuss in a call."
The argument for: pricing transparency forces honesty about what value clients are actually getting. It shortens the sales cycle. It surfaces fit problems early β for them and us. It treats prospects as adults, not leads to be qualified.
We're more confident in our pricing now than we were three years ago when we were less transparent. The transparency forced us to articulate why our pricing makes sense β which made it actually make sense.
If you're a service business owner thinking about your own pricing model, the question worth sitting with: what would you HAVE to be true about your services for you to publish your pricing publicly? Then go work on those things.
