Albert Einstein seemed to understand the importance of value over success.
How many times have we been told, coached or received feedback that success is the ultimate goal? Organizations have become addicted to success at any costs. Employees are afraid to experiment for being called out if they are unsuccessful. Organizations have not yet understood the great disruption and that there is more power in moving to delivering value and allowing their employees to be of value. Organizations are more interested in quantity vs quality and believe pushing out product, or pushing services is the measure of success. Instead it is the value that they provide to consumers that differentiate them from their competitors and help them adopt to the 21st century marketplace.

"Darle por su lado"
This is a bit of wisdom from my mom. My dad was never afraid of confrontation and asserting himself with others.
My mom was different. She understood certain aspects of human nature. She would always say "Darle por su lado" / Allow them some grace. I remember getting my dress shoes resoled. Within three weeks the soles came undone. I could have marched in and demanded an explanation. But this was a small business owner who had been in business almost fifty plus years. It was only him and his wife. They were an older couple and they had pictures of their childrens college graduations. I decided to take my mom's advice. As soon as the owner saw the shoes he became very quite. I started by saying 'the work was done very well but it seems the glue....'
The owner jumped in and said 'yes, it does look like the glue failed. I have purchased a different glue. If you will leave them, I will take care of them with the new glue and also do an additional stitch.'
True to their word the owner redid the shoes with new soles and additional stitching. Those shoes lasted me several years.
Perhaps we can all perform this magic, by allowing people their grace.

Imagine working in an organization, an environment where people believed that everyone was born on purpose? Would this organization be supportive? Would it mentor employees and help them grow? Would this organization honor parents committments to their children or families?
It's hard for some to envision this. Some organizations only see it's employees as there to generate profit, product sales, push executive pet projects. Employees can sometimes end up in toxic environments where the message they receive is their hiring is a mistake, their continued employment is a mistake, their existance is a mistake.
Everyone was born on purpose. If we are not going to help people find it, then let's make sure we don't get in their way of finding their purpose.

Small Business Dashboard as of June 2022
New business filings were higher in Q2 in Bexar County and Texas. The percent of these new filings that are home based were higher also in Q2 compared to Q1 with a spike in April from the county to the US level.
The number of active businesses decreased at all levels from the county to the US at the end of Q2 from end of Q1.
