✨ From Distance, Through Faith, to “Welcome Home” 🏡💛
This journey with the Sotelo family is one I will never forget.
As a Military Relocation Professional (MRP), I’m trained to help families move from afar—but this experience reminded me that what I do goes far beyond training… it’s truly a calling and this family wasn’t military either.
The Sotelo family came into contract not once, but twice before. They traveled down for two separate weekends, and we viewed homes together in person—but for one reason or another, those homes just weren’t the one.
On the third round, to respect their time and work commitments, they placed their full trust in me to show homes virtually. And that level of trust is something I never take lightly.
But behind the scenes… I was fighting a battle of my own.
I began to feel something wasn’t right physically. At first, I brushed it off as routine—but deep down, I knew something was wrong. As much as I wanted to stay strong for my clients, my body was telling a different story.
The day I showed them homes virtually, I was in significant pain. I let them know I would be heading to the ER and would follow up the next day so we could move forward with an offer if they thought they had found “the one.”
What I didn’t expect… was the ER visit turning into an emergency surgery.
Right before going into surgery, I reached out to them one more time. They had made a decision—but instead of urgency, they showed me grace. They told me to take care of myself first. That’s when God showed up…
After surgery, while still in recovery—and learning I would need a second surgery soon—I wrote up their offer from my hospital bed. It was sent close to midnight, along with a quick explanation to the listing agent apologizing per offer instructions why I sent him a message so late in the evening. And this is where I saw God move.
The agent responded immediately—not about the offer—but about me.
“So sorry you are going through this and Are you okay?”
In that moment, I felt peace. I knew then this was the home meant for this family and the very next day… their offer was accepted.
From there, I wasn’t alone. My lender Desiree
stepped in, in ways I will never forget—checking on me first, then helping carry the weight of the transaction while I recovered. From communication to coordination, she showed what true partnership looks like.
We closed in under 30 days—completely virtually and this past weekend, I finally had the honor of handing the Sotelo family their keys in person. Watching them walk into their home for the FIRST TIME… seeing their faces light up as they realized just how much space they had… that moment made everything worth it. Their children were excited, even their fur babies knew they were home! 🏡
They went from selling a 2-bedroom, 1-bath home…to purchasing a 4-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 3,279 sq ft home on a beautiful cul-de-sac lot with room to grow, gather, and build memories.
This wasn’t just a transaction.
This was alignment. This was purpose. This was God showing up and showing out.
He reminded me that when you stay aligned with Him, even in your weakest moments, He will position you with the right people, the right support, and the right outcome.
✨ Congratulations to the Sotelo Family — your new chapter is just beginning.
And I’m so honored I got to be a part of it. 💛
