If you filed an extension for your 2025 individual tax return, the extended filing deadline is October 15, 2026.

As a reminder, if you filed for an extension, it only gave you more time to file your return; it did not give you more time to pay any taxes.

Here are a few important reminders about the upcoming extended filing deadline:

🔹The sooner you file, the better. And, if you still owe taxes, interest and penalties may already be accruing.
🔹There are no further extensions. October 15th is the final deadline to file your 2025 extended return.
🔹Review your return carefully before filing. Missing documents, incorrect income information, or overlooked deductions can delay processing and may require an amended return later.

If you have questions about your return or need help preparing before the deadline, please contact our office. We’re here to help.

Cue the fireworks, fire up the grill, and get ready for what might be the most ambitious birthday cake of all time. 🎂

America turns 250 this year, which means 250 candles on the cake … so someone should probably alert the fire department.

However you’re celebrating the Fourth of July, we hope it’s filled with great food, good company, and a sky full of fireworks.

Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, in observance of the holiday. We’ll be back and ready to help on Monday. Wishing you a safe and happy Fourth!

When starting or restructuring a business, choosing the right legal structure is more than just a formation step — it’s a decision that can influence taxes, liability protection, and administrative responsibilities for years to come.

Your business structure determines how income is taxed, which tax returns must be filed, and how responsibility for business obligations is handled. Swipe for a brief overview of each structure and their tax implications.

Since businesses evolve and tax laws change, the structure that works well early on may not always remain the best fit as revenue grows, ownership changes, or long-term plans develop. If you’d like to review your current tax exposure, our team can help you evaluate your current tax situation and talk through when a change might make sense. Just give us a call, and we can find a time to connect.

Even though 2027’s filing season feels far away, now is still a good time to check in on your taxes. While this might feel early, a simple mid-year tax checkup can help ensure you don’t miss any key credits or deductions and turn the rest of the year into proactive planning rather than last-minute scrambling.

Swipe through to see how a mid-year review can support your goals, from potential tax savings to better organization for next spring.

If you’ve had changes in income, a new side project, a major expense, or you just want peace of mind, we’d be glad to walk through a mid-year tax checkup with you. We can look at where you stand, talk through any adjustments that might make sense, and help you move into year-end with a clear, confident plan.

Even though the 2026 tax season is well and truly behind us, it could be a good idea to start thinking about next year’s filing season. It might feel too early to start thinking about 2027’s filing season, but scheduling a mid-year tax checkup can help you stay ahead of income changes, line up your withholding, and reduce the chances of a surprise when you file.

Swipe for a few key benefits of doing a mid-year tax checkup of your personal taxes.

If you’ve had any income changes, life events, new side income, or big expenses this year, or if you simply want peace of mind, we’d be happy to schedule a short mid-year tax checkup with you. We can review where you stand, identify any adjustments worth making, and help you finish the year with a clear plan. Reach out today to get started.
