Imagine getting a call from your son, daughter, or grandchild. They're upset, saying they've been in an accident or arrested and need money immediately.

**You recognize their voice. But it's NOT them!**

Criminals are now using artificial intelligence (AI) to copy people's voices from short recordings found online.

**One of my own tax clients lost $10,000 in cash to this type of scam.** This is real, and it's happening!

⚠️ **Here's how to protect yourself:**

âś… Never trust a voice alone. Hang up and call your loved one directly.

âś… Never withdraw or send cash because of an unexpected phone call.

âś… Be suspicious if someone tells you to keep the situation secret.

âś… Establish a family code word to verify emergencies.

These scammers are very convincing. **Being smart and careful doesn't make you immune.**
