Family Friday… on Sunday. ❤️

A lot of firsts around here lately! Lily had her first JROTC uniform day this week and scored her first FIVE water polo goals last week! 🤽‍♀️

She just started water polo a few weeks ago, so it’s been so much fun watching her figure out a completely new sport.

Freshman year is keeping us BUSY, but I’m loving it. ❤️

We're already into September… somehow...

Quick question: are your books actually caught up through August?

Bank accounts reconciled?
Credit cards reconciled?
Transactions categorized?
Outstanding invoices reviewed?
P&L looked at recently?

If you answered "ummm…" to a few of those, you're definitely not the only one!

But now is a whole lot easier time to get caught up than December!

And if you don't want to do it yourself, that's what I'm here for. 😊

Lily is back with another commercial… and this time she brought a friend. 🐶

She was dog sitting Teddy for our friends and decided he needed to be part of this week’s message.

If bookkeeping is taking up all your extra time, let me take it off your plate so you have time for the things you’d rather be doing — even if that’s helping out a friend and hanging out with their dog. ❤️

Teddy may be my favorite guest star so far.

Have you ever thought about what your bookkeeping is costing you — besides money?

If you’re spending just 2 hours a week keeping up with your books, that’s more than 100 hours a year. 😳

And for a lot of business owners, it’s probably more than that once you count categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, tracking down receipts and trying to figure out why QuickBooks isn’t doing what you think it should be doing. 😂

Sometimes doing something yourself saves money.

And sometimes your time is worth more somewhere else — working with customers, growing your business, spending time with your family… or, according to Lily, crafting. 🎨😂

That’s worth thinking about.

Back to school means back to routines — and it’s a great time to give your bookkeeping routine a quick check, too. 📚

Three things you can do this month:

✔️ Make sure your bank and credit card accounts are reconciled
✔️ Review outstanding invoices and follow up on anything overdue
✔️ Look at your Profit & Loss and see how your year is actually going

You don’t have to wait until year-end to find out what’s happening in your business.

A few minutes reviewing your numbers now can save a lot of scrambling later!
