I love watching people win.

I love watching people chase their dreams.

Even better?

Watching them catch those dreams.

When my clients win, it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Especially when I’ve worked with someone for several years and get to see just how far they’ve come.

Watching their businesses grow, seeing the goals they’ve accomplished, and knowing I played a small part in that journey is incredibly inspiring.

It also keeps me motivated to keep pushing forward.

To all of my clients: thank you for letting me be part of your journey and celebrate your success with you.

Don’t leave your family a mess.

It might feel too early to think about end-of-life planning.

Or maybe it feels like one more burden you simply don’t want to deal with.

But life is precious, and none of us knows when our time will come.

Without proper planning, your loved ones could face:
Probate
Delays
Unnecessary costs
Difficult decisions during an already emotional time

You should have a will, proper estate planning, and a clear plan of what happens next.

A little planning now can save your family a lot of stress later.

Do you have a will and estate plan?

Oldest daughter energy over here.

Do you believe birth order plays a role in your personality and habits?

I definitely do.

I’m a textbook oldest daughter.

Some of my characteristics include:
Bossy.
People pleaser.
Hyper-responsible.

But here’s the thing: I’ve learned how to turn those characteristics into strengths as a business owner.

Being responsible helps me follow through.

Being a people pleaser has taught me to care deeply about my clients.

And being bossy? Well… someone has to make the decisions.

We don’t get to choose everything we’re handed in life, including our birth order.

But we do get to decide what we do with it.

What’s one characteristic you have that you’ve turned into a strength?

Stop overcomplicating it.

Systems and processes matter.

But I see too many small business owners building systems like they have 100 employees when they actually have two.

Here’s the thing:

You don’t have to operate like a huge company to be successful.

Overcomplicating your business can actually get in the way of growth.

Yes, you need systems.

Yes, you need direction.

But those systems should match the size and needs of your business.

If you’re a small business owner, build systems that support where you are now and can grow with you.

Just don’t get so bogged down in building systems that you lose sight of what they’re meant to support… growing your revenue and delivering a great client experience.

Are your systems helping your business grow, or are they creating more work?

“Self-prepared” tax returns?

Big red flag.

Ghost preparers are on the IRS Dirty Dozen list, and one warning sign is a preparer who has you file a return as “self-prepared” rather than identifying themselves as the paid preparer.

Recently, I came across a new client whose previous accountant had been doing this for the last decade.

That’s a serious problem.

If your accountant prepares your return but tells you to sign and submit it as self-prepared, you need to ask some serious questions.

A legitimate tax preparer should stand behind the work they prepare.

If this is happening to you, I would encourage you to consider if it’s time to find a new accountant.

Not sure if your accountant is handling things correctly? Let’s talk. Book a call through the link in the comments.

The October 15 extension deadline is almost here.

If you filed an extension, I’m talking to you…

Don’t bury your head in the sand until next tax season.

April 15 is only six months away, and there is still so much valuable planning you can do before this year ends.

November and December are the time to review where you stand, identify opportunities, and make strategic tax decisions while you can still act on them.

The goal is to make decisions while they can still affect the outcome, not simply document what happened after the year ends.

Are you meeting with your accountant before the end of the year?

Software implementation?

AI implementation?

Don’t worry… we’ve got you!

For accounting firms, using the right software and the correct AI tools is crucial.

But too often firm owners have no idea where to begin when it comes to what to use and how to implement it.

That’s where my firm comes in.

We have been using AI and software to help us improve every aspect of my firm, and it’s been a game-changer.

And we want to help other accounting firms do the same.

So, we are offering operational assessments for firms and/or assistance with all types of software and AI implementations.

(Cue the applause!)

It’s been so fun helping firm owners jump into new software and new AI tools!

There's one thing we don't put up with at my firm:

Nonsense.

If someone is rude or inconsiderate, then I simply don't want to do business with them.

It's just that simple.

I realize that people have bad days and can take it out on others around them sometimes.

(I know I do - we are all human!)

But when that is the norm, then we aren't a good fit.

At the end of the day, there are so many clients and opportunities.

Stop going into business with people who make you miserable.

You shouldn't cringe everytime you see someone's name on your phone or break out in a cold sweat when they email.

If someone is bringing you negativity on a regular basis, it's time to let them go.

Stop putting up with other people's BS!

Here’s something I’ve noticed after years of working with clients:

Not everyone wants to be held accountable.

And that’s okay. You do you, boo! That being said…

If you want to achieve your biggest goals, accountability isn't optional.

Let's say your goal is to hit a specific revenue target.

That means consistently taking the right actions, building effective processes, and making smart decisions, even when it's uncomfortable.

Without accountability, it's easy to lose focus and drift away from your goals.

Think about it this way. Have you ever had a bad day that turns into a bad week and then a bad month?

Be honest.

The people who make the most progress usually have someone keeping them on track.
