Are you wearing your Purple and Pearls in support and advocacy for Domestic Violence today?
Every year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated stands in solidarity to strengthen our commitment to ending domestic violence and supporting those affected by it.

Domestic violence affects people from all walks of life, and it’s our duty to break the silence, raise awareness, and offer our unwavering support. Let’s continue the conversation, educate ourselves and others, and work towards creating a world where everyone can live free from fear and violence.

Together, we will make a difference and empower every individual to find strength and healing.

💜 PURPLE THURSDAY | COVA STANDS TOGETHER 💜

Today, the Commonwealth of Virginia Executive Board wears purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Behind the purple are many stories.

We represent survivors!
We represent those who support and stand beside victims!
We represent those who grew up in homes impacted by domestic violence!
We represent those who are raising families while breaking cycles and building safer futures!
And we stand in remembrance of those whose voices can no longer be heard!

Today, we wear purple because domestic violence impacts individuals, families, and communities - and because awareness must be accompanied by support, advocacy, education, and action.

As Pearls who L.E.A.D., we use our collective voice to remind every person impacted by domestic violence:

You deserve safety. You deserve support. You deserve to be heard.

For 251 years, the United States Navy has stood watch—defending our nation, protecting our freedoms, and serving with courage, honor, and unwavering commitment across the seas and around the world.

Today, we salute the generations of Sailors who answered the call to serve. We honor those currently standing the watch, those who served before them, and those whose sacrifice will forever be woven into the proud history of the United States Navy.

To every Sailor—past and present—and to the families who have supported them through deployments, separations, homecomings, and countless sacrifices: thank you for your service and dedication to our nation.

Mental Health is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to our strength and resilience. World Mental Health Day is our way of recognizing and understanding that caring for our mental health and emotional well-being is just as crucial as our physical health.

Today, be intentional about checking on your loved ones - including your friends.

There’s not a certain ‘look’ - Just be kind. Encourage open conversations. Lend a listening ear, offer a hug or give someone a word of support, as they may be struggling in silence.
If that someone is you - remember that you are never alone on this journey.
